but i'm back baybaaayy
its nice to hear that there are some of you out there craving for updates! thanx for the emails and msg's. haha i didnt think anyone really gave a shit about my blog teehee but anyways, that aside, now that i have the time why not update ey
so where have i been hmm? i've been having me a great start to 2007. so far so good. but yea i won't speak too soon. it's been a long while since i had a good kick off for the year
well let's see, this update's gonna be all over the place cuz i've past that phase of organizing my shit, so it's gonna be a mambo jumbo mash up in here. woOt wOot. haha
ok wait, let's organize the damn thing lah... hahaha let's start of with
JOB
touch it- bring it - pay it - watch it - turn it - leave it - stop - format it
Ok I don't know if many of you guys know yet, but yea I got me a new job. A pretty cool and fun exciting job unlike the usual 9-5pm 4 walls air conditioning fall-into-a-rut-meet-deadlines-shithOle. I'm liking my job. not loving it as yet. I am now on board the Hello On Two team as one of their hosts. Hello On Two is a 'live' morning breakfast talk show on TV2. Program starts at 8-9am daily (except weekends) which is WHY you've probably never seen me before :D cuz it's too early for ya right suga? ; ) Haha nah it's alright its all gOOd cuz I wouldn't be up watching tv at that time too! haha (oops! did i just say that out loud? nyehehe)
so what's the show about hmm? Watch lah to find out : ) but yea in a nutshell its a breakfast show so that's self explanatory. I'm living on a very flexible timetable now, well.. flexible as in i have more time on my hands, usually on the weekdays. There are 6 of us on the team and we take turns each day to host the program ("we" as in there'll be 2 of us hosting everyday). On the days I'm on, I get up at 5am and head out to the International Broadcast Centre over at RTM by 6:30am for hair and make up. My co-host for the day and myself will then be on the set by 7:45am where we get ready to kick ass live!
Yea so by 9am I'm done and I've got the whole day to myself. Usually Zamil (my awesome partner-in-crime) and I would head out to Bawang Merah in Subang for Nasi Lemak (ahhh my new addiction this 2007..eek) before heading back home. I still teach at Dancesteps but my hours have gone down tremendously. I do plan on kicking that up soon though.
Hmm.. the make up is about the only thing that tends to drive me nuts. I won't bitch about it but there are days when we tend to look a little overdone and waxy... kinda barbie like. haha
SYDNEY
On the 15th of February fam and I headed down to Sydney for a 2 week break. Wasn't so much of a break and holiday for me, but a fun-filled learning/discovery sort of trip. I took those 2 weeks off to take dance classes at the Sydney Dance Company and blogging about it right now makes me miss it even more sooo badly. Damn I've never had so much fun dancing in my life! Classes were GREAT! I liked how the standard time/duration for all classes was 1hr 45 mins. I took all the classes I could - Tap, Jazz, Lyrical Jazz, Rhythmic Stretch, Jazz Funk Hip Hop (JFH), Hip Hop, Contemporary. It kills me that I'm back here and thousands of miles away from SDC. I miss everything, every sight/sound/smell/thing/it/he/she/them EVERYTHING. My teachers were absolutely amazing and to all Malaysian Dancers out there! Don't fret! I'm gonna work hard to get them to come to KL for workshops! :D
SO coming back to my super-awesome-indescribable classes at Sydney Dance Co, this was what my typical day would be like -
I'd get up by 8am and leave the service apartment by 8:30am. I stayed in Parramatta which is something like staying in PJ (Bandar Utama). It took me about 25 minutes to get into the city by train.
Once I got into the city I'd come down at Town Hall or Wynyard train station and then hop in to a 431/432/433/434 bus that goes up to The Rocks which takes about 10 minutes

me under the sydney harbour bridge. yup its the sydney opera house behind me!
Once I got to the point of Hickson Road I'd get off the bus and walk under the harbour bridge. nice view ey?
then I'd walk down this crazy flight of steps...
then i arrive smack at the wharf where SDC is : ) what a view ey, and look when i turn to my right i see this
the harbour bridge!!
anyways, after a few days of taking those steps down to the wharf i discovered the short cut which was much easier and gave me a view of
Sydney Dance Co. itself... huhuhu I missssss!!! : (
Just outside SDC... daMn...
there is not a single studio in KL that can match SDC! its size, sprung floors, view aaah... and they've got this huge sliding doors and just outside the studio (outside outside, not the corridor, you see this)
*sigh*
i doo.. i do miss being in Sydney so much...
This is Ramon Doringo : ) he was my jazz/lyrical jazz instructor and the director of the dance dptment : ) i miss his classes so much
And this is the wonderful supermulti talented bianca gallifuoco, the best JFH and hip hop teacher i've ever had up to date! her classes are haaawwtt man. and she can REALLY move...
ok i'm sleepy now i'll continue later. nite nite. make sure you come back cuz i got some stuff to highlight. workshops with madonna's dancers are gonna be starting next week at the dance space! : )
