Wow it's been a long day. I officially started my internship today. So far so good. I'm now training at GRA & Associates Sdn Bhd, a PR consultancy located in Phileo Damansara II opposite The Star (newspaper) building. Will be here for the next 2 months or so. Current major projects include organising a gala dinner in aid of charity as well as a charity concert scheduled at the end of the year. Both charity projects are by Procter & Gamble (P&G) and is part of their corporate social responsibility.
The charity project - Open Minds was conceived by P&G as part of the worldwide community activities that the company initiated to mark the new millennium and to show its ongoing commitment to society as a whole. Open Minds was launched in 1999 in Malaysia, focusing on Education for Special Children. As a global company, P&G's corporate philantrophy effort focuses on "Helping Children in Need to Live, Learn & Thrive"
So this year, Open Minds is planning to raise RM2 million (yes a lot of money indeed) and they are doing so by having a concert (Open Minds Konsert ChildAid), a royal gala dinner as well sales from the Open Minds Charity Album titled "Hulurkan Cinta" (which means - Give Your Love) which I believe should be in stores soon. This album consists of a compilation of songs from local artists such as Vince (AF), Ella, KRU, Anita Sarawak and more - the theme song being "Hulurkan Cinta". All funds raised are targeted for ChildAid, A-I-D being children with Autism, Intellectually Challenged and Dyslexia.
I'm excited about the whole project. You guys can help help too if you'd like. You can make a donation for the children to Open Minds via SMS. Donations can be done in denominations of RM2, RM5 and RM10. Type OM(amount) (i.e. OM5) and send it to 32728.
Other than Open Minds, was at the Holiday Inn today for the official signing ceremony of Mawi (Akademi Fantasia winner season 3) being Ambassador for EON. After the signing ceremony I had to interview the new-born star and there was berbuka puasa after that. Interview ended up being more of quoting what he had to say in general, following him around, taking pictures yadi yada. One long story I don't wanna mention right now. But anyhow, buka was great (food wise). I think so far it's the best I've had (food wise).
Speaking of berbuka puasa, had several buka's to attend to last week. On Tuesday there was buka with Zain, Shirena and the rest of his family at an Italian Restaurant in Hartamas then on Thursday took Zain, Lily and Kuzai to Park Royal for buka with my family and office colleagues, then last night it was buka with Aunty Noor and Dato' Nik (family friends). Good food, good food. Everyone had a great time. I had a great time!

Oh yea, Zai and I got our hair cut and styled last week during Fara's charity carnival. Zai's finally got layers and a fringe. I got me heavy layers and bangs.
Anyways, exam's are over and I won't be setting foot in Bali till next year *yay*! Exams were Okay... except for CPM and Malaysian Studies...errr...haha
My Inter Modern Exam last Thursday didn't go too bad either! It was real good actually. Let's just hope the same will be reflected in my results! The examiner is one huge lady. She was all right... she seemed fair. Ooh... I hope I do well! Now the only thing to worry about is the results.
