Fly Me To The Moon
We are into the 2nd week of Raya...

Now that everyone's back from their long break/balik kampung, open houses are slowly starting to build up and now Raya's starting to get a little more busy compared to the first week. Had several open houses to attend to the past week from neighbours to friends. On Thursday it was Maria's open house which was lavished with food, food and more food from the typical Raya dishes like the rendang, pulut and ketupat to dishes like kuay teow and roast lamb. Yummy yumm yumm.

On Saturday evening it was my open house. Nothing big though, it was just to invite my brother's friends and mine. I didn't even know I was having an open house till that day itself! I've been so caught up with work and have had plenty of thoughts on my mind. I was under the notion that the family had open houses to go to. Oh well. Haha not many showed up cause of the whole last minute scenario but Lily, Arvin and Khairul were there. Thanx for coming you guys =)

And there's still plenty more open houses to go to...

Tomorrow evening is EON's (one of our main clients at GRA) Deepa-Raya gathering/makan-makan which means more and more food.

Work has been pretty awesome! Today I had a seminar to attend to at The Boulevard Hotel next to Mega Mall and there I bumped into Cheneille and Ben Len! Haha! I also bumped into an old school mate (my senior) of mine in high school, Davina Goh, at TicketCharge when I went to collect tickets for the Open Minds ChildAid concert coming up! Haha it was such a pleasant surprise! Will call you on the 2nd Dec Davina! Noted birthday! ; )

Work's been tiring though. I guess that's biasa lah for anyone. I'm glad that on top of all the corporate and consumer sections I'm handling, I also get to experience broadcasting which is pretty fun! Been going in and out of TV3 for Open Minds from filming commercials (Anita Sarawak!) to getting beneficiaries and celebrities (working together with Open Minds) into interview slots on Wanita Hari Ini. On Sunday, Boss & I went to fetch Anita Sarawak from her home in Ampang for a commercial shoot at TV3. She's such a pleasant lady. Really nice. She's the second celebrity I've met during my internship. The first was the phenomenal Mawi. He's pretty cool too!

Anita will be appearing on Wanita Hari Ini to promote the Open Minds Concert ChildAid this Thursday, so will be fetching her and meeting her again. *yay*! There'll be a little section on the concert here on my blog so you guys can get a gist of what it's about, and... maybe attend the concert? hehe =)

Ooh on the 7th of December I get to meet the Queen. The Queen!! That's during the Open Minds Royal Charity Gala Dinner. Looking forward to that too.

Last week my colleague at work Sharif and I went to visit the beneficiaries of the Open Minds campaign (Persatuan Dyslexia and the National Autistic Society of Malaysia). Made a few new small friends! Hehe

The visit was done together with the Features editor of the Malay Mail who was doing an interview on the children asking them for their 3 wishes this festive season. Plenty of moving wishes... There was a boy that wished 1) for his teachers to understand his problem (being dyslexic) and for them to be patient with him 2) to study hard so that he can be an engineer and lastly 3) to be rich, so that he would have money to help all dyslexic children around the world.

It was a real experience...

Anyways, apart from work, its back to the usual routine of dance classes. I miss dancing so much. Am now dancing Mondays to Thursdays. Started the Grade 6 ISTD Tap class which was pretty fun and finally Advance Jazz is back! Also started my ISTD Modern Advance level 1 and its soooo damn tough. I love it though! I'm also back to teaching (1 month break cuz of puasa) and boy I miss my kids! Haha! We're all working on concert stuff now so it's gonna heaps of fun.

Been asked to dance for a watch launch some time soon. It's pretty interesting cuz the concept is Titanium (it's a launch for some new titanium watch) so we'll be painted in silver and have to do body movements resembling mercury and like melted metal. make sense? anyhow seems pretty cool huh? I'm psyched.

Bro and I went to the fun fair down the road from my house last week and went on all the extreme rides and after being tossed and flipped and swung left, right, front and back we came home sick as a dog... Bleurgh... I still need to ride the FERRIS wheel with somebody though =)

Ooh this is a long entry. I guess I'll end here tonight.

It's 3 months tomorrow. Boy it's been amazing
